We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Reservations Agent to join our dynamic team.

As a Reservations Agent, you will be responsible for recording and processing all reservation inquiries made by phone, or e-mail efficiently and accurately, whilst converting inquiries into sales in order to maximise revenue and occupancy. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Creating and maintaining reservations in the property management system;
  • Handling the internal Reservations e-mail inbox;
  • Handling guest requests over the phone and via e-mail in a professional manner;
  • Applying sell-through strategies when quoting availability for reservations;
  • Actively monitoring availability;
  • Maintaining Online Travel Agency (OTA) and third party extranets, reservations and messaging systems;
  • CTAC processing & submission to Finance
  • Inventory & Reservation Reconciliation
  • Maintaining a positive inter-departmental flow of communication – particularly with the Front Office, Concierge, Service, Sales and Finance teams;
  • Initiating and sustaining communication regarding Groups with the Sales Managers and Events team;
  • Maintaining an effective filing system;
  • Processing Advance Payments;
  • Running the Daily, Weekly and Seasonal Reports together with their relative tasks;
  • Verifying and updating reservation cancellations;
  • Managing No Shows via their relative booking channels and charging guests accordingly;
  • Verifying reservations entered the day before to ensure reservation, rate and revenue integrity;
  • Entering and maintaining Group Rooming lists;
  • Upselling when possible;
  • Responding to guest queries;
  • Checking Tour Operator Early Booking Discount lists;
  • Applying discounts to applicable reservations;
Ideally you should:
  • Be a team player;
  • Be organised;
  • Take initiative;
  • Have a good telephone manner;
  • Have a working knowledge of PMS systems, such as Opera;
  • Have corporate-level of verbal and written communication.
  • Be able to work both weekdays and Saturdays

Experience in a similar environment will be considered an asset.
