Pizza Chef

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare Dough & Ingredients:

o Mix, knead, and prepare pizza dough from scratch.

o Slice, chop, and prepare fresh ingredients for toppings.

2. Pizza Making & Cooking:

o Assemble pizzas with appropriate toppings based on menu or customer preferences.

o Bake pizzas in traditional ovens, wood-fired ovens, or conveyor ovens.

o Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure high-quality pizzas.

3. Kitchen Management:

o Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen area.

o Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.

o Manage kitchen stock and inventory of ingredients.

4. Quality Control:

o Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and quality of pizzas.

o Experiment with new recipes and create specialty pizzas if required.

5. Customer Service & Coordination:

o Work closely with wait staff and kitchen team to ensure timely service.

o Address customer preferences, allergies, or special requests.

Requirements:

1. Experience & Skills:

o Proven experience as a Pizza Chef or in a similar role.

o Knowledge of different pizza-making techniques (Neapolitan, Roman, New York-style, etc.).

o Ability to operate pizza ovens and kitchen equipment.

o Strong understanding of dough fermentation and baking principles.

2. Education & Certifications:

o Culinary degree or relevant training is a plus but not mandatory.

o Food handling and safety certification may be required.

o Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

o Attention to detail and creativity in food presentation.

o Strong teamwork and communication skills.

o Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
