XVI Boutique Hotel in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Pastry Chef de Partie to join their team on a full-time basis.

Job Role:
We are currently recruiting an experienced Pastry Chef de Partie to join the team who is dedicated and able to work on specific sections in the kitchen, mainly the Pastry section, whilst supporting the Sous Chef & Head Chef.

The role includes the following duties and responsibilities, but is not limited to:  

  • Preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality dishes within the speciality section 
  • Possess knowledge in creating & preparing cakes, desserts, pastries, chocolates, pies, brunch/ breakfast & other baked goods by following traditional & modern recipes 
  • Having the initiative to research and present new creative recipes weekly 
  • Assisting in different areas in the kitchen when required 
  • Assist with training Commis Chefs 
  • Assist with stock takes, and keep sections organized and clean at all times 
  • Monitor portion control as well as waste control 
  • Adhere to health & safety regulations along with food hygiene practices at all times.


Requirements:

  • Fluency in English
