IBB Hammett's Operations is seeking a skilled Pastry Chef to join our team on a full-time basis. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our esteemed clientele.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and create a diverse range of pastry items including cakes, cookies, pies, and bread, adhering to both traditional and contemporary recipes.
  • Develop new and innovative dessert menus in collaboration with the Head Chef and Sous Chef.
  • Skilfully decorate pastries using various icings, toppings, and techniques to ensure visually stunning and enticing presentations.
  • Uphold rigorous standards of food hygiene and adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring the safety and well-being of guests and staff alike.
  • Monitor portion and waste control measures to maintain optimal profit margins.
  • Train and mentor junior pastry staff, ensuring consistency and quality in their work

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role in a reputable kitchen
  • Expertise in pastry techniques and a strong understanding of baking principles
  • Possession of relevant qualifications and certifications in food handling
  • Effective communication skills and a personable demeanour
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in the English language; fluency in an additional language is considered advantageous.
