Ta' Xmun Caterers in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Pastry Chef to join their team on a full/part-time basis.

Overview:
We are looking for a creative and skilled Pastry Chef to join our team and help us create delicious and visually appealing desserts and pastries.
As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our pastry department, from menu planning to execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and update menus for the pastry department
  • Create new and innovative dessert recipes
  • Oversee the production and presentation of all pastries and desserts
  • Train and supervise pastry staff
  • Ensure quality and consistency of all pastry items
  • Manage inventory and ordering of ingredients and supplies
  • Maintain a clean and organized pastry kitchen
  • Collaborate with other chefs to create cohesive menus
  • Stay updated on industry trends and techniques.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef in a professional kitchen
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of various pastry techniques and methods
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and creativity
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
