XVI Suites in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Night Auditor to join their team on a full-time basis.

Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and customer service-oriented Night Auditor to join our team. 
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the hotel, ensuring that all guests have a pleasant and safe stay.

The Night Auditor will be expected to: 

  • Assist with front desk duties as needed, including check-in and check-out
  • Respond to guest complaints, requests and emergencies 
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by scheduling wake-up-calls and other concierge activities according to guest preference
  • Ensure all hotel policies and procedures are followed 
  • Verify and balance entries and records of financial transactions
  • Keep accurate financial records and ledgers 
  • Running end-of-day reports before the close of the shift
  • Ensure the accuracy of guest accounts and resolve any discrepancies
  • Reconcile all accounts promptly
  • Prepare daily reports for Management 
  • Ensure that all end-of-day activities have been successfully executed by employees in all departments
  • Up-selling guest rooms and promoting hotel features and services
  • Maintain an organized and clean front desk area 
  • Communicating with maintenance and housekeeping departments to ensure the reliability and cleanliness of hotel amenities
  • Follow all hotel policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the night shift 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Skills and Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Night Auditor or in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry
  • Good knowledge of accounting
  • Ability to handle cash and financial transactions
  • Well conversant with Opera
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Time management and multitasking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Availability to work overnight.
