Kitchen Porter

We are looking for a Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis at Zitti Restaurant at the vibrant Merchants Street Valletta.

Key responsibilities

• Ensuring the availability of clean dishes by clearing tables, washing dishes, pots, pans, and flatware, cutting boards, utensils, and cooking equipment and resetting dining areas.
• Receiving and unpacking all deliveries if required.
• Assisting the Chef with basic food preparation, which includes washing, peeling, and cutting meal ingredients as per the Chef's instructions.
• Supporting other restaurant staff members by assisting with other tasks, as needed.

Required Skills and Competencies:

• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Ability to work well in a team and to collaborate with all staff in the restaurant.
• Able to perform high-quality work while unsupervised.
• Secondary school minimum level of education; Computer literacy.
• Good level of communication in the English language.
• Food Handling Licence B.
