Best Western Premier Malta is currently looking to recruit a Housekeeping Supervisor to join their team on a full-time basis.

OVERVIEW:

Are you an experienced professional with a passion for hospitality and attention to detail? Best Western Premier Malta is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our housekeeping team and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff, including room attendants, and public area attendants
  • Train new staff and conduct regular performance evaluations
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to established standards
  • Address and rectify any issues or deficiencies in cleaning procedures promptly
  • Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of back-of-house areas
  • Manage the inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and amenities
  • Coordinate with the Executive Housekeeper to reorder supplies as needed
  • Ensure proper storage and organization of housekeeping supplies
  • Respond to guest inquiries and requests promptly and professionally
  • Collaborate with the front office to accommodate special guest requests
  • Assist in resolving guest complaints related to housekeeping services
  • Provide ongoing training to housekeeping staff on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and customer service
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to enhance staff morale and performance
  • Maintain open and effective communication with other hotel departments, especially the front office and maintenance
  • Provide feedback and recommendations for improvement.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a 4-star or higher-rated hotel
  • Knowledge of housekeeping procedures and cleaning standards
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to handle and resolve guest concerns professionally
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
  • Flexibility to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
