AX The Victoria in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Front Office Manager to join their team on a full-time basis.

Job Summary:
AX The Victoria is looking for a Front Office Manager. The successful candidate will be able to always put guest care as a priority, ensure that every client is handled professionally and if possible, to exceed guests’ expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage to the overall operation of the Front Office department
  • Guide the Front Office team to ensure guests receive prompt and cordial attention, and personal recognition
  • Ensure that repeat guests and other VIPs receive special attention and recognition
  • Develop and deliver formal training plans and sessions, in conjunction with the hotel’s training policies
  • Take responsibility for monitoring and reviewing the performance of the employees
  • Schedule and regularly conduct routine inspections of the area under their control
  • Compile the departmental work schedules
  • Assume responsibility for the main cash float and ensure that the Front Office agents maintain it according to the established policies
  • Ensure that all efforts are being made to maximize room sales and all other hotel revenue
  • Attend daily briefings and other meetings as required
  • Ensure that correct postings of bills and record backups are maintained
  • Be familiar with all Sales Promotions and promote in-house activities in all areas ensuring staff is briefed on all activities
  • Train, support and assist all the Front Office staff by having hands-on approach
  • Cooperate with team members / supervisors from all other departments, in particular Housekeeping, Food and Beverage Room Service, Maintenance and Front Office.


Requirements:

  • A good standard of education
  • Fluency in English and another European language
  • Be computer literate
  • Excellent customer care skills
  • Has experience working on Hotel Systems
  • Has a minimum of 4 years of working experience in Front of House operations
  • Able to take decisions and lead a team of subordinates
  • Motivate the team and get the best out of everyone.
