Our well known and luxuriously known client within the tourism industry is looking for an Events Assistant Manager to join their growing team.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Receive, manage, and convert inquiries for meetings, events, and group bookings.
  • Collaborate with clients to plan events.
  • Showcase and sell the best banquet/event options to the highest standards.
  • Conduct venue tours with potential clients.
  • Keep administrative tasks current and maintain updated files on active accounts within your area.
  • Foster excellent communication and relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Gather information and create a comprehensive client history database.
  • Record all declined business, noting reasons for refusal.
  • Issue contracts and function orders for confirmed events.
  • Support the Events Manager in preparing weekly and monthly reports, statistics, and forecasts.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience working in a similar role.
  • Previous experience working in a hotel locally.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • Candidate must be already based in Malta.
  • Strong client relationship building skills.
