Barceló Fortina Malta is looking for a passionate and motivated Demi Chef de Partie to join our culinary team, working alongside Executive Chef Mark Gauci.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Assist the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef in the daily preparation and service of high-quality dishes.
  • Ensure all food is prepared and presented according to the hotel's standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient workstation at all times.
  • Follow HACCP, food safety, and hygiene procedures.
  • Support stock rotation and minimise food waste.
  • Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations.

Educational and skill requirements

  • Previous experience as a Demi Chef de Partie or Commis Chef in a professional kitchen.
  • Experience in a 4 or 5-star hotel or a high-volume restaurant is considered an asset.
  • Good knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
  • Basic understanding of HACCP and food safety standards.
  • A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and strong teamwork skills.
