Deli Counter Assistant Vacancy

We're seeking a dedicated delicatessen counter assistant to join our team at Jesmond Micallef Meat Market. As a deli counter assistant, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, ensuring product quality, and maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment. Your duties will include greeting customers, providing product information accurately and assisting them in selecting deli items.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greeting customers as they approach the deli counter, providing attentive service, and addressing any questions or requests.

• Ensuring that the deli counter remains adequately stocked throughout the day, replenishing items as needed to meet customer demand.

• Maintaining cleanliness, organization, and visual appeal in the deli area, including regular sanitization of surfaces and equipment.

• Collaborating with colleagues to support efficient shop operations and contributing to a positive team environment.

• Willingness to assist with additional tasks or duties as required to uphold the shop's standards.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Candidates with previous experience will be given a priority

• Good knowledge of different cheeses and cold cuts.

• Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.

• Good customer service and communication skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
