This position contributes to Starbucks’ success by providing legendary customer service to all customers. As a Barista, you help create the Starbucks Experience by serving customers with prompt service, high-quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and welcoming store environment. You will model and act in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.

What a Starbucks Barista Does:

A Starbucks Barista is responsible for multiple tasks in daily interactions with customers. While recommending new products and taking custom orders, priorities can change instantly. In this fast-paced environment, you will need to adapt quickly to the store’s changing needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow Starbucks operational policies and procedures, including cash handling, safety and security guidelines, to ensure partner safety during each shift.
  • Attend to customer needs promptly and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and welcoming workspace.
  • Resolve customer complaints quickly and effectively.
  • Prepare and serve quality beverages, food products and whole beans consistently, adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.
  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
  • Assist and coach new team members during onboarding.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment and recognize individual and team achievements.
  • Handle cash and accurately record customer orders.
  • Maintain store cleanliness and organization as needed.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in a customer-facing role is ideal.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Willingness to follow all sanitation, health, and hygiene standards.
  • Previous experience in food & beverage or hospitality is desirable.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and holidays.

No previous Starbucks experience is required; training will be provided.
