Main Duties:
• Ensure that equipment and sanitisation standards are always met
• Ensure that supplies and inventories are readily available
• Assist with the preparation and planning of meal according to the menu
• Ensure that kitchen activities operate in a timely manner
• Lead the team ‘hands-on’ by example
• Adhere to all recipes, methods and instructions as per Executive Head Chef
• Provide support to junior kitchen employees with various tasks including line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating.
• Assist in training new kitchen employees to meet restaurant and kitchen standards
• Adhere to and HACCP regulations and safety regulations
Requirements:
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and best practices
• Teamwork-oriented with outstanding leadership abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
