Tapea Restaurant in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Chef, Sous Chef, or Junior Chef to join their team on a full-time basis.

Job Role:
Are you a Chef, Sous Chef, or Junior Chef with at least two years of kitchen experience and a good level of English? If you are passionate about gastronomy, a team player, and a decision-maker, you could be the person we are looking for!

Requirements:

  • Experience: You must have at least two years of verifiable experience in chef, sous chef, or junior chef roles. Experience in Spanish cuisine preparation will be positively valued
  • Languages: A good command of English is essential for effective communication in our multicultural environment
  • Culinary Skills: You must demonstrate a strong foundation in culinary techniques and creativity in creating high-quality dishes. Being agile and capable of quick learning is important
  • Teamwork: Collaboration is key in our kitchen environment, so working well with others is fundamental
  • Decision-Making: You must be able to make sound decisions, even in high-pressure situations
  • Passion for Gastronomy: You must have a genuine passion for cooking and a desire to offer exceptional culinary experiences.


Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present high-quality dishes in accordance with our recipes and standards
  • Actively collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient and first-class service
  • Participate in the creation and development of new dishes and menus
  • Maintain the highest standards of hygiene and food safety in the kitchen
  • Contribute to inventory management and supply orders.
