Mallard Co. Ltd in Malta is looking to recruit a Cafeteria Food Counter Attendant to join their team on a full-time basis.
As a Cafeteria Food Counter Attendant, you’re responsible for operating the food section of the cafeteria while working closely with the other members of the team. Responsible to serve sweets and pastry dishes with the standard recipes and presentations in order to maintain quality standards and consistency of product. Also assist in production and maintenance of par stocks of food and desserts with proper rotation of products and maintain highest cleanliness and hygiene standard in the food counter section.
Job Description:
- Answering customer questions about menu items and serve customers at counters;
- Preparing food such as sandwiches, salads, milkshakes, ice cream and desserts according to customer’s orders;
- Clean, peel, slice and trim food items using manual and electric appliances;
- Stock refrigerators, cupboards and salad bars;
- Keep records of the quantities of food used;
- Clean and sanitize kitchen areas including, work surfaces, cupboards and storage areas, as well as dispose of kitchen garbage;
- Unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, cupboards and storage areas;
- Abide by Covid 19 Protocol Procedures.
Requirements:
- Able to multi-task;
- Able to work quickly;
- Able to work in a team;
- Can communicate well in English/Maltese;
- Excellent customer service skills;
- Basic mathematics and arithmetic skills.
Requirements:
- Possess a basic qualification in Food Preparation;
- Possess professional disposition with good communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work different shifts including weekends;
- Possess a Local Food and Hygiene Certification;
- Can communicate well in English Language;
- All applicants must be eligible to work in the EU & must be in possession of the relevant passport and visa.
