Breakfast chef (full time/part time)

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable, organized, and passionate Breakfast Chef to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys preparing fresh breakfast offerings, maintaining high food quality standards, and ensuring a clean and efficient kitchen environment.

Working hours are from 06:30 to 14:30, providing an excellent work-life balance while contributing to an exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and present the daily breakfast buffet to hotel standards.
• Cook and serve hot breakfast items from the à la carte breakfast menu.
• Monitor buffet presentation and replenish items throughout breakfast service.
• Prepare cakes, pastries, and other baked items for afternoon service.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation.
• Ensure proper food storage and stock rotation procedures.
• Keep the kitchen, preparation areas, and equipment clean and organized.
• Wash dishes, kitchen utensils, and cooking equipment as required.
• Monitor stock levels and communicate purchasing requirements.
• Follow all food safety and HACCP procedures.
• Work closely with management to continuously improve the breakfast offering.

Apply if you have:

• Previous experience as a Breakfast Chef, Cook, or similar kitchen role.
• Knowledge of breakfast preparation and basic baking.
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently during early morning hours.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Positive attitude and team-oriented approach.
• Ability to maintain cleanliness and high standards throughout the shift.
• Must be residing in Malta and available for an immediate start.
• Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays on a roster basis.
