Bar Helper
The Bar Helper will assist in keeping bar areas clean and stocked, whilst taking on other duties to support the bartenders and ensure that the bar operates smoothly.
Responsibilities:
• Assist with opening and closing duties
• Deal with customer feedback, in a courteous, efficient, and timely manner
• Check bar equipment and confirm that everything is in a good working order
• Ensure that the bar is always well stocked, with adequate supplies
• Ensure that the bar area is maintained in a neat and orderly manner
• Keep the bar clean by wiping down surfaces, sweeping and mopping floors, removing soiled glassware, and emptying trash receptacles
• Take orders, prepare drinks, and process payments during peak hours
Qualifications & Assets:
• At least 1-year experience working in a similar position
• Ability to work a variable shift pattern
• Ability to work with little supervision
• Ability to multi-task with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to handle unexpected problems and provide solutions to challenges
• Knowledge of menu items including beers, wines, cocktails, and liquor
• Hands-on experience with cash register and ordering information system
