Bartender/ Mixologist

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve a wide variety of cocktails, mixed drinks, and beverages to guests according to established recipes and standards.
• Create and experiment with new, innovative cocktails, and seasonal specials.
• Engage with customers, offering personalized drink recommendations based on their preferences and creating a welcoming environment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar, ensuring all equipment and ingredients are readily available.
• Monitor guest consumption to ensure responsible alcohol service and ensure compliance with all local laws and regulations.
• Ensure the correct presentation of drinks and garnish to meet the establishment’s standards.
• Maintain a knowledge of current cocktail trends, and stay informed on new spirits, mixers, and techniques.
• Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Assist with inventory management, including ordering and restocking of bar supplies.
• Collaborate with other bar staff and restaurant team members to ensure a smooth service flow and a great guest experience.
• Provide excellent customer service, creating a friendly and engaging atmosphere
• Ensure adherence to health and safety standards in the preparation and serving of beverages.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Bartender, Mixologist, or similar role in a bar, restaurant, or hospitality setting.
• In-depth knowledge of classic cocktails, modern drinks, and cocktail-making techniques.
• Strong creativity and passion for crafting new and exciting drinks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with guests and work in a team.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of local alcohol laws and responsible drinking practices.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and work in a busy environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Certification in bartending or mixology (e.g., Bartending School, Sommelier Certification) is a plus.
• Age requirement as per local law for serving alcohol.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with flair bartending or artistic drink presentation.
• Knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits.
• Ability to manage and lead a team in a high-volume environment.
