Barista

Vacancies have arisen within Kettles Café Restaurant in Malta for the post of Barista to join their team on a full/part-time basis. 

Job Role: 
Reporting to the Head Barista, the selected candidates’ responsibilities are to keep the bar clean and well-stocked while keeping up to date with all current procedures and cocktail recipes to be able to assist and serve customers to provide a  unique experience to patrons.

The main duties will include but not solely:

• Having good knowledge in beers and beverages in general;
• Following on recipe procedures when preparing drinks for the customers;
• Keeping the bar clean and organized at all times according to company standards;
• Notifying the Head Barista or Restaurant when stocks are running low;  
• Making good use of all equipment and notifying management of any damages or issues that arise;
• To keep all areas of work including staff areas, keg room and stores organized and clean at all times;
• Train other staff on product knowledge and serving, and / or offers being made on the day;
• To keep good communication with front of house staff and advise for any low stocks, or stocks that need to be pushed;
• Following established procedures when opening and closing of the bar.

Most important you need to:

• Have extensive knowledge and experience in the Food and Beverage sector, especially in bars;
• Have a basic level of education at O Level standard;
• Have a good knowledge of HACCP standards;
• Computer proficiency;
• A pleasant personality but with a strong verbal communication skills.
