Our client, a modern and dynamic hotel located in St. Julian’s, Malta, is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Executive Housekeeper to join its team. The successful candidate will support the Executive Housekeeper in overseeing the daily housekeeping operations, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, organisation, and guest satisfaction are maintained throughout the hotel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in supervising the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department.
  • Lead, motivate, and support the housekeeping team to ensure excellent performance and service standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness and quality standards are met.
  • Coordinate room availability and maintenance requirements with the Front Office and Maintenance departments.
  • Support staff scheduling, training, and performance monitoring.
  • Ensure proper use and control of housekeeping supplies, equipment, and linen inventory.
  • Maintain compliance with hotel procedures, hygiene regulations, and health & safety standards.
  • Assist in handling guest requests and resolving complaints efficiently and professionally.
  • Support the Executive Housekeeper with administrative duties and departmental reporting.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role or as a Senior Housekeeping Supervisor.
  • Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations and hotel cleanliness standards.
  • Previous experience managing and leading a team.
  • Good command of the English language.
  • Knowledge of Property Management Systems (PMS), preferably Opera or similar hotel systems.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and perform effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
