Radio Rooftop at ME Malta is seeking a highly skilled and versatile Tournant Chef to support our award-winning culinary operation.

This position is ideal for an experienced chef capable of working confidently across multiple kitchen sections while maintaining the highest standards of quality, consistency and presentation.

Applicants must have previous experience within luxury Asian or Japanese culinary environments and possess excellent technical and organisational skills.

What will I be doing?

• Rotate across all kitchen sections as operational requirements dictate.
• Support the Chef de Partie team during service and peak business periods.
• Ensure consistent food quality across every section.
• Prepare and present dishes to luxury hospitality standards.
• Assist with production planning and mise en place.
• Train and mentor junior kitchen team members.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety and hygiene procedures.
• Monitor food quality, presentation and portion control.
• Contribute to menu development and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation and professionalism.

What are we looking for?

• Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or Tournant Chef within a luxury hotel or premium Asian/Japanese restaurant.

• Strong understanding of Japanese culinary techniques and premium ingredients.

• Ability to confidently work across multiple kitchen sections.

• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.

• High attention to detail and consistency.

• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy service environment.

• Food Hygiene Certification.

• Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Preferred

• Previous experience in luxury lifestyle hotels or internationally recognised restaurants.

• Candidates already residing in Malta will be given preference.

• Immediate availability is an advantage.
