Mercury Towers Ltd in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Retail Assistant Store Manager to join their team on a full-time basis.

Opening in 2023, Mercury Towers is a new destination that epitomises vibrant downtown living. Comprising Malta's tallest residential building, the luxury ME Hotel by Meliá, a new quarter of public spaces, restaurants, bars, entertainment and curated retail, Mercury Towers is an unforgettable farewell from Zaha Hadid- the most prolific female architect of her time. At Mercury Towers, our aim is to engage and nurture extraordinary talent, to breathe life into this extraordinary vision. We are now looking for a Retail Assistant Store Manager to join our energetic team. This store is a souvenir toy shop with colourful, witty and relevant toys to today's culture. 

JOB OVERVIEW:
At Mercury Towers, we are embarking on an ambitious project that aims to redefine the shopping experience in Malta. Our store will offer a diverse range of products, catering to a wide customer base, and we are committed to providing exceptional service and creating a vibrant atmosphere for shoppers. As the Retail Assistant Store Manager, you will be at the forefront of this venture, playing a key role in shaping the success of the store.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for overseeing all aspects of store operations
  • Lead and motivate a team of retail sales associates to deliver outstanding customer service and achieve sales targets
  • Manage all aspects of day-to-day operations, including inventory management, visual merchandising, and store presentation
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to drive sales and maximize profitability
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging creativity and teamwork among staff members
  • Train and develop employees, providing ongoing support and feedback to help them reach their full potential
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards
  • Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute promotions and events to increase footfall and engagement
  • Performs other duties as required.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience as a successful Retail Assistant Store Manager, demonstrating leadership and team-building skills
  • Strong understanding of retail operations, including inventory management and visual merchandising
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact effectively with customers and team members
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating a positive shopping experience
  • High level of organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
