Duty Manager

G3 Hospitality Ltd in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Duty Manager to join their team on a full-time basis.

Job Description:

Reporting to the Rooms Division Manager, the Duty Manager in the new B&B hotel situated in St. Julians is responsible for overseeing the daily functions of different departments, including the front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance, to ensure everything runs smoothly and efficiently.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Providing strategic leadership throughout all departments
• Recruiting, training, and managing staff, along with creating schedules to maintain adequate coverage
• Addressing guest concerns promptly and maintaining high standards for guest satisfaction
• Overseeing budgets, controlling expenses, and optimizing operational costs
• Overseeing front office bookings
• Ensuring all services meet quality standards, from cleanliness to customer service
• Maintaining uniform up-keep
• Making sure that health, safety, and legal requirements are followed throughout the hotel
• Managing housekeeping and F&B inventory levels by spot checks including receiving of goods and coordinating with suppliers as needed
• Performs other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as determined by both the Rooms Divisions Manager and organisational needs, while providing an environment of openness and trust, with constant feedback and performance coaching.

The ideal candidate should possess the following:

• Experience in a similar role for 3+ years
• This role requires strong leadership, effective problem-solving skills, and the ability to perform well under pressure, as it involves handling a wide range of logistical, staffing, and guest-related issues on a daily basis
• Possesses Driving Licence B
• Possess the flair for a hands-on-approach.
