The Department
The Investment Services Supervision Function is responsible for the authorisation and supervision of investment services licence holders and recognised persons. The Funds Team is responsible for the supervision of asset managers, collective investment schemes and related service providers, including depositaries and recognised fund administrators. The oversight of these entities is executed by means of a combination of onsite interactions and offsite supervision. The Investment Services Supervision Function is also involved in policy-related work.
The Role
About You
We are looking for candidates with solid academic background in Law, Accountancy, Banking and Finance, Economics, Public Policy or any finance related background. A background in local and EU fund legislation, in particular the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive and the Undertaking for Collective Investment in Transferable Securities (UCITS) would be considered as an asset for this role.
The role calls for an academic qualification in a relevant field of study at National Qualification Framework Level 6 or better, duly certified by the Malta Qualifications Recognition Information Centre (MQRIC) or a widely recognised professional qualification at a comparable level.
A relevant post-graduate degree will be considered as an asset. You will also possess a minimum of eight (8) years working experience in the area related to the role. If you do not have the necessary academic or professional qualifications but you have at least fifteen (15) years of relevant experience, we would still be interested in speaking with you.
