We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our client's client accounting team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in preparing management accounts, resolving complex accountancy issues, and overseeing a team of junior accountants.
ABOUT OUR CLIENT:
Our client is a full-service certified public accounting practice specializing in tax, audit and financial planning services and is located in Birkirkara.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, building and maintaining strong relationships through regular communication and exceptional service
Prepare Management Accounts, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards
Analyze financial data and provide insights to clients on their financial performance, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
Collaborate with clients to develop and implement financial strategies and solutions tailored to their specific needs and objectives
Lead and manage the month-end and year-end close processes for client accounts, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
Resolve complex accounting issues and technical challenges, leveraging your expertise and knowledge to provide effective solutions
Supervise and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance, training, and support to foster their professional growth and development.
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
At least 3 years of experience in a similar role
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite especially Microsoft Excel
Highly proficient in preparing and delivering accurate management accounts
Highly proficient in tax and vat returns
Excellent communication skills in English
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
EDUCATION:
Fully qualified or in the final stages of completing the ACCA qualification.
WORKING TIME:
Flexibility in starting time, from 08:00 till 09:00, 40 hours per week with 30 minutes break to be taken at your pace.
