Senior Accounting Manager / Director

A highly reputable client of ours specialising in Financial and Corporate services is looking to onboard a Senior Accounting Manager / Director to join their team of professionals:

Duties:

• Managing a team of professionals in maintaining client accounting records and coordinating tax and statutory compliance obligations
• Overseeing various processes covering the financial transaction life cycle (i.e., collecting source documents, recording transactions, closing books, and preparing statutory and internal reports)
• Leading the preparation of financial reports and the drafting of financial statements under IFRS and GAPSME.
• Leading the implementation of automation to streamline accounting and finance function processes to increase efficiency and control in the provision of services
• Acting as the lead subject matter expert in the areas of IFRS and GAPSME
• Collaborating with other teams within direct tax, indirect tax and corporate compliance on client transactions and corporate restructuring
• Growing internal and external networks
• Have a broader perspective of potential issues encountered when managing diverse teams and the strategies to overcome them including having a clear understanding of the firm’s commitment to creating a more inclusive culture
• Identifying and developing opportunities with new and existing clients of the firm based on their bespoke needs
• Developing an advanced understanding of confidentiality, data security and privacy responsibilities, including applicable policies, and act accordingly
• Driving the business and practice development and thought leadership activities.

• A minimum of 12 ( twelve) years' experience working in a similar role at a senior management level
• Ability to collaborate with upper management to organise, plan and achieve company financial goals
• Solid understanding of financial management and accounting
• Hands on experience in cloud-based accounting software systems and BI Tools.
• Well versed in MS Office applications in particular Microsoft Excel
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

• Must be in possession of a professional accounting qualification, such as ACCA, ACA or CPA
