We are looking for Semi-Qualified Audit Associates to join our client's team. This is an excellent opportunity for the candidate to establish a career in finance. Working with high levels of autonomy, you will ensure processes are managed effectively whilst providing effective and efficient financial management services and support to a portfolio of accounting clients.
ABOUT OUR CLIENT
Our client is an accounting and consulting firm with a vast range of services in the financial services sector and is based in Birkirkara.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Preparing reports, documentation and correspondence under the superior’s supervision.
Keeping up-to-date with the latest accounting and auditing developments.
Consulting with superior on issues identified at audit stage and research those.
Identifying statutory and regulatory changes in the auditing sector.
Demonstrating a good understanding of the firm's audit approach and the theory behind it.
Establishing close working relationship with their client.
Maintaining regular contact with accounting staff during the assignment.
Independently completing small engagements and handling a small number of assignments at the same time.
Drafting audit planning brief for own assignments which address relevant issues.
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
The ideal candidate will preferably have one or two year’s similar experience.
Knowledge of Sage 50 is considered a desirable requirement.
The role calls for a highly organised and mature individual.
Proficiency in Microsoft office applications.
Ability to multitask and work as part of a team.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
At-least the equivalent of the foundation stage of ACCA.
WORKING TIME
Monday to Friday, 07:00 - 15:30 / 07:30 - 16:00 (any other start / finish times need to be pre-approved).
Reduced break - Break being reduced from 60 minutes to 30 minutes (11:30 - 12:00).
August hours - 07:00 - 14:15 with 15 minutes break at 11:30.
Hybrid working hours - 1 or 2 days per week from home.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
EUR 23K - 26K per annum.
ACCA - Training & Exam Reimbursement (Excludes any revision courses).
Salary increase on every passed ACCA exam.
Study Leave - 5 days + exam day.
Seminars & Training - CPD.
