Risk & Compliance Executive

We are working with one of Malta's leading firms, who are looking for a Risk & Compliance Executive to join their team.

Responsibilities:

• Support the monitoring of compliance with applicable legislation and regulatory requirements, including the Company Service Providers Act, the Trusts and Trustees Act, AML/CFT legislation, and MFSA regulations.
• Monitor regulatory developments, identify emerging compliance obligations, and communicate relevant updates to the Head of Governance, Risk & Compliance.
• Conduct compliance reviews, file testing, and control assessments under the Compliance Monitoring Programme (CMP), preparing recommendations and draft reports to address identified findings.
• Assist in maintaining and updating the Company's Risk Register based on risks identified through compliance monitoring and review activities.
• Maintain compliance registers, logs, remediation plans, and other governance records to support regulatory compliance.
• Assist with the development, review, and enhancement of compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Support AML/CFT training initiatives, regulatory reporting, Board reporting, and other governance, risk, and compliance projects as required.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a similar role
• Working knowledge of the Company Service Providers Act, the Trusts and Trustees Act, AML/CFT legislation, and related regulatory requirements.
• Understanding of compliance monitoring, file testing, control assessments, and remediation tracking.
• Ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements in a practical business environment.
• Excellent spoken and written English
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools

Education and Experience

• Bachelor Degree level of education
