Role Overview
Heroix is collaborating with an expanding professional services firm to recruit a proactive and experienced financial leader. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and the Managing Partner, the successful candidate will supervise the entire accounting department across all corporate bodies. This position demands a balance of hands-on operational management and strategic foresight to oversee daily fiscal activities, ensure regulatory compliance, and help drive the Business through ongoing structural transformation and international expansion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Supervision: Directing the day-to-day administrative fiscal functions for all group companies to maintain accurate bookkeeping records, invoicing workflows, settlement processing, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Financial Reporting: Compiling comprehensive monthly management accounts, performance indicator scorecards, statistical analyses, and budgetary forecasts to keep ownership informed of overall fiscal performance.
  • Compliance & Auditing: Acting as the primary point of contact for external auditors, taxation specialists, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies, while ensuring all statutory declarations, including VAT submissions, are filed punctually.
  • Strategic Guidance: Supplying the executive board with critical assessments regarding corporate profitability and exposure to commercial risks to facilitate well-informed corporate expansion decisions.
  • Process Transformation: Leading modern change initiatives across multiple geographic locations by upgrading internal software, standardising reporting workflows, and strengthening corporate governance frameworks.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes

  • Education: Hold a valid, active CPA warrant issued within Malta.
  • Experience: A minimum of five years operating in an advanced financial management capacity, ideally within corporate services, legal practices, multi-entity setups, or broader professional services. Experience navigating multi-jurisdictional reporting or leading ERP software upgrades is highly advantageous.
  • Language Skills: Complete fluency and command of written and spoken English are vital. Familiarity with the Maltese language is considered a valuable asset.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional capability to articulate financial concepts clearly to operational departments, corporate executives, and external stakeholders.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Natural aptitude for working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary business departments and mentoring junior finance staff members.
  • Technical Skills: Deep comprehension of local statutory requirements, budgetary planning, risk mitigation, and automated enterprise resource planning systems.
  • Organisation: Demonstrated capability to handle overlapping deadlines and maintain precise operational accuracy within an evolving corporate framework.
  • Self-Motivated: Energetic work ethic with the agility needed to balance strategic corporate vision with immediate, hands-on department tasks in a fast-moving ecosystem.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong capacity to diagnose inefficiencies in workflow structures and implement automated procedural upgrades.
