Ceek - Recruitment Solutions in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Financial Planning Analyst to join their client's team on a full-time basis.

Overview:

If so, one of our clients, a leading company in the security business with more than a century of expertise, is looking to employ a Financial Planning Analyst. The chosen individual will be reporting directly to the CFO!

What is expected of you?

  • Offer FP&A support to finance teams, emphasizing productivity, demand planning, financial reporting, and metrics analysis
  • Develop budgets, forecasts, variance analyses, long-term plans, and risk/opportunity assessments, including both periodic and ad hoc reporting
  • Participate in corporate projects and initiatives with organization-wide impact
  • Collaborate with the accounting team during the close process, including reviewing general ledgers, recording transactional activity, and preparing revenue and expense accruals, while providing explanations for P&L and cash variances against budgets and forecasts
  • Identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost optimization
  • Act as a finance liaison to departments, working closely with them to understand their business needs, support their initiatives, and address financial inquiries
  • Investigate and analyze variances between forecasts, budgets, and prior-year expenses.
  • Assist in automating the consolidated reporting process
  • Perform necessary account and system reconciliations
  • Review financial reports, presentations, and other management reporting requirements
  • Handle ad hoc business reporting and analysis as needed
  • Execute additional related responsibilities as assigned or delegated.

What are you expected to bring?

  • MQF Level 6 qualification in accounting and/or financial management
  • Over 3 years of relevant experience
  • Solid understanding of accounting, financial, and operational principles
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of interacting with various levels of management
  • High commitment to producing quality work, upholding organizational ethics, integrity, and compliance
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while keeping a strategic perspective
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications, especially Excel
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines independently
  • Self-motivated with strong time management skills.
