Senior Operations Officer

A client of ours specialising in Financial Services is looking to onboard a Senior Operations Officer to join their team:

Duties:

• Post and verify the executed security and cash transactions in the Portfolio Management System (PMS) on a daily basis and act as a reference point between Trade desk and Operations
• Liaise with the various counterparties and brokers to ensure security transactions are executed and instructed as per Trade Desk instructions
• Gather all client instructions and instruct custodians in a timely manner for all types of Voluntary Corporate Actions, processing of these on the clients’ accounts, and distributing Corporate Actions notifications to the customers
• Manage all Asset Transfer requests i.e. gathering relevant client instructions, posting of Asset Transfer instructions and resolving any settlement issues
• Conduct cash and security reconciliations and resolve any reconciliation issues including client payments queries;
• Preparing relevant Manager Information in a timely manner
• Produce and distribute Valuation reports and other client reports
• Contribute to the implementation and controls for daily processes
• Assume responsibility in the reviewing of the Standard Operating Procedures that are in line and comply fully with the relevant up to date regulatory requirements including, but not exclusively, the MFSA’s standard license conditions, PML, Mifid II, MAD II, and the MFSA’s conduct of business rules
• Any other duties as may as assigned from time to time by the Head of Operations to ensure the smooth running of the Operations department

• Previous work experience working in an Operations department within the financial industry (bank, custodian, brokerage)
• Good knowledge of the various types of Investment products (equities, bonds, mutual funds, FX)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
