We are looking for a Financial Controller to join our client's Finance team. Apart from the day-to-day work, the Financial Controller will be reporting directly to the CFO and s/he will be preparing monthly management statements in a timely manner to allow the review of the company’s financial performance.


ABOUT OUR CLIENT

Our client is Malta's leader in the Hospitality & Leisure sector.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Actively leading the preparation of the yearly budget and regular forecasts together with other department managers and the CFO.
  • Preparing of cash flows, VAT returns, and financial information relative to upcoming and existing projects or business opportunities.
  • Acting as the first line of contact of the external auditors to ensure a prompt and accurate preparation of the statutory audit.
  • Ensuring the timely monitoring of debtors, credit control and effective reporting to the Group CFO and senior management as required.
  • Support the accounts staff with daily monitoring of cash settlements and accounts receivables
  • Motivate and lead the members of the finance team on a daily basis.

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Proven work experience in a similar position
  • Solid knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and Word
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Good organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Problem-solving skills

EDUCATION

ACCA qualification or equivalent

WORKING TIME

Monday to Friday, from 08:30 till 17:00 with 30 minutes break.
