Audit and Assurance Manager

Our client, a well-established firm, is seeking to recruit an Audit and Assurance Manager for their portfolio of clients. The chosen candidate will be assigned the below duties:

• Collaborating with the managing director to define and implement effective audit strategies aligned with company's procedures and policies
• Monitoring the audit and assurance team's progress, adjusting plans as necessary
• Preparing and handling assurance reports for diverse engagements
• Leading or taking part in financial projects such as process enhancements, system implementations and strategic financial analysis
• Working closely with the management team in reviewing quarterly results and contribute to billing and job profitability analysis
• Carrying out of timely performance reviews along with on-the job training and feedback
• Cultivating positive relationships with other teams, ensuring seamless cooperation within the company
• Developing and sustaining productive, long-term client relationships while actively seeking and generating new audit business opportunities
• Stay abreast of accounting standards, regulations and industry trends to uphold the organization's commitment to best practices

• Demonstrate extensive auditing experience, typically exceeding 8 years, with a significant amount spent in a managerial or supervisory position
• Exhibit strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Possess a robust understanding of auditing principles, practices, and standards including IFRS, ISAs, and GAPSME
• Experience in tax compliance is considered an asset

• Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, a Masters in Accounting, ACCA or an equivalent international qualification
