The Senior Quality Engineer collaborates with the QA team, Quality Engineers, and Process Engineers to drive quality planning activities, aiming to identify and resolve manufacturing, quality, and customer issues. This role requires a deep understanding of quality and statistical tools, with practical experience in their application. The Senior Quality Engineer leads structured problem-solving efforts and supports data analysis and root cause analysis. Working closely with the Quality Manager, this position ensures product conformance, process compliance, and a focus on customer satisfaction, while also guiding continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing processes and systems.
Responsibilities:
Lead and Support Investigations: Conduct and support cross-functional investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions using advanced problem-solving tools such as 8D, 5 Why, DMAIC, and FMEA.
Customer Interaction: Lead discussions with customers regarding failures, ensuring timely and effective responses to high-priority and high-visibility issues.
IATF 16949 Quality Initiatives: Support the Quality Manager in implementing IATF 16949 Quality initiatives according to the planned roadmap/action plan.
Quality Systems Management: Manage assigned Quality Systems, such as SCAR, Change Controls, and Internal Audits, and mentor other quality team members in these areas.
Reporting: Prepare and submit reports based on statistical data, trends, compliance, and nonconformities.
ISO 9001 Certification: Participate in the ISO 9001 certification program, assisting the Quality Manager in preparation and during annual audits to ensure necessary accreditations.
Product and Process Transition: Assist in transitioning products and processes from Research and Development to Manufacturing.
Qualification Management: Oversee quality aspects of various qualification processes, including equipment, process, supplier, and material qualifications.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to the company’s safety policies, ensuring all personal protective equipment is used correctly, and exercise good judgment to prevent accidents and injuries.
