Plant Engineer

We have a Plant Engineer role within one of the leading manufacturing companies in Malta. Your responsibilities will include the following:

• Ensuring that all plant equipment is in good working condition and well maintained
• Allocating technical resources in a timely and efficient manner
• Giving full support to all technical production needs
• Planning and implementing a condition monitoring system for all the equipment in the factory
• Taking full responsibility of the BMS system of the factory
• Constantly monitoring electrical power consumption and finding ways to contain such consumption
• Effectively communicating with other departments to achieve the best possible solution to a specific technical issue
• Ensuring that all spare parts needed for the implementation of preventive maintenance are available in stock
• Issuing orders for parts needed both for breakdowns and also for preventive maintenance
• Having a hands on approach attitude to solve technical problems
• Ensuring that all works performed are in accordance to health and safety regulations
• Capable of finding solutions for a more efficient process
• Implementing solutions and procedures to reduce machine downtime as much as physically possible
• Ensuring that the use of electricity and water consumption is minimized by identify opportunities to reduce consumption

• Great Communication Skills in both Maltese and English
• Organised and excellent project management skills
• Analytical with good problem solving skills
• ISO Standards Experience

• Minimum of MQF Level 6 in Engineering is required
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role within a local manufacturing environment is required
• Experience managing a similar team is a must
• Experience with injection moulding machines
• Have good command of Microsoft Office and CAD
