Maintenance Shift Technician

Malta Marriott Resort & Spa is currently looking to recruit a Maintenance Shift Technician to join their team on a full-time basis.

This is where you come in.  The Maintenance Shift Technician shall be responsible for the monitoring, operation and control of the plant and equipment on the properties’ grounds. The chosen candidate may also provide service to our esteemed guests by handling and resolving maintenance issues as they arise.

Operate, monitor and control all plant operations on the property;

• Duly report on checks done on the property, reference the chief engineer log book and act on any issues about his responsibility
• Report issues, regular monitoring and updating of BMS as needed through the appropriate channels
• Address technical maintenance and repairs to the property promptly
• Perform regular checks of technical areas as directed by the technical director
• Assist in other trades in the department as deemed necessary such as electrical jobs, plumbing work, basic carpentry and painting work
• Make sure a proper handover is given at the start and end of every shift
• Attend training as required.

Supportive Functions

• Strong Knowledge of electricity and mechanical plant
• Able to work under his initiative and a good team player
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation for fault finding of equipment
• Ability to read and write in local language is needed due to report follow-ups
• The ability to speak English will be an asset.
