Field Service Engineer

A new opportunity for a Field Services Engineer has become available with a fast growing company specialising in the repair and overhaul of marine exhaust gas turbochargers for the shipping industry.

Whilst the Field Service Engineer will be based in the company’s workshops. The position will require extensive international travel. There potentially could be excessive time away from home so flexibility is required. 

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the overhauling and repairing of exhaust gas turbochargers
• Working on turbochargers installed in vessels of all sizes, from fishing boats to large bulk carriers, container ships, land based power plants etc.
• When not working away, the successful candidate will be required to work in the company’s workshops in Malta

Requirements

• A minimum of 2-5 years-experience working in a marine engineering capacity
• Must have 2-5 years of experience working on OEM model turbochargers ABB, MAN or MET. This is essential to the role
• Flexible and positive attitude to work
• Experienced in reading measurement equipment
• Excellent written and spoken English Language
