About Us

European SAO (ESAO) is a world leading technology-led provider of specialised aerial data acquisition services.

ESAO deploys state-of-the-art aerial sensing and digital processing technology in dynamic, challenging environments worldwide and is frequently relied upon to provide critical security services of national importance, demanding class-leading safety and compliance processes.

ESAO's Innovative Technology is industry leading and our expertise, experience and capability form the foundation of everything we do.

The Role

During a sustained period of growth, we’re looking to recruit a B1.1 Engineer to be based at our location Sliema, Malta.

We’re able to offer a salary of €75,000 - €85,000 though this is dependent on having the required type ratings. The ideal candidate would have the type ratings: KingAir 200 / 300 and E90 but we are more than happy to consider candidates without these type ratings as we’re able to provide the training required so you’re able to work on our aircraft.

You will be required to hold an EASA licence and a UKCAA licence would be ideal, but this isn’t a necessity.

We’re also able to be flexible around the shift patterns you would want to work (so long as we have ample coverage at the base!) and if you need to relocate to Malta, we can offer support with your relocation. If you would wish to travel from another country but not relocate permanently, we can support you with travel costs as well.

It’s a really exciting time to join us!

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out base maintenance activities and certify work within your company's approval
  • Fault diagnosis/rectification on operational aircraft
  • Assist with aircraft surveys by other agencies

  • Support maintenance/ defect rectification of all other aircraft types as required
  • Ensure working practices are carried out within Part 145 regulations

  • Holder of an unrestricted EASA Part 66 Licence with at least 1 type
