Automation Engineer

Our client within the manufacturing industry is seeking to employ an Automation Engineer focused on Electronics to support with the optimization of their semi-automated operation. The successful candidate will form part of a small team while reporting directly to the Testing Manager.  Your responsibilities will include:

• Build, Program and Re-Program Test equipment
• Propose and implement automated or software-oriented modifications for current manual procedures
• Build a new data collection infrastructure to gather PCB and Unit Testing data
• Extract data from production machines and identify trends
• Create custom software solutions capable of assisting day-to-day operations
• Provide technical assistance in software-related IT issues

Working Hours:  Monday to Friday on Day Shift

• Previous experience working within testing, electronics and/or automation is ideal
• Organised and able to prioritise
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Technically oriented and good at problem solving
• Must be based in Malta

• MQF Level 6 in Electrical Engineering / Electronics
• Fluency in Programming Languages is desired
