The National Statistics Office in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Survey Interviewer I to join their team on a shift basis.
Job description:
The National Statistics Office is looking for interested candidates to primarily work with a team of interviewers stationed at the Malta International Airport, collecting data through face-to-face interviews for the Tourstat survey, the main source of information on tourism data in the country.
Survey interviewers will use paper questionnaires and/or electronic means to collect the data and may also be required to carry out other data-inputting work. Survey Interviewers must be logical, methodical and discreet in their dealings with interviewees.
The successful applicant shall primarily be stationed at the Malta International Airport (departures lounge) and work on a 12-hourly shift basis (day-night-rest-off).
At the discretion of the Management, Interviewers may be requested to work during office hours on a five-day week.
Based on their surveying experience, candidates may have an immediate opportunity for promotion to the post of Survey Interviewer II.
Appropriate training for the role will be provided.

Ordinary Level passes in four (4) subjects. Passes should be at Grade A to C or t to 5. Preference will be given to passes in languages:

The position of Survey Interviewer I is based on an annual salary of €17,931 in addition to other allowances attached to it during the year 2024. The renumeration excludes qualification allowances and any overtime pay, which is reimbursed separately on an ad-hoc basis, and other allowances such as an annual shift allowance of €520 and public holiday and Sunday shift allowances.
