Software Engineer – Data Specialist

Main duties

We are seeking a Software Engineer – Data Specialist, to focus on databases/datalakes on performance and field service platforms, implementing innovative solutions to support our global operations.

Responsibilities/ Your role:

• Database/Datalake Development: Build, optimize and manage databases/datalakes to enhance system performance and reliability.
• Develop Software: Create and document software code in various programming languages based on technical specifications and within agreed timelines.
• Platform Enhancement: Design and implement improvements for platforms to streamline operations and processes.
• Testing & Validation: Test, validate and document all changes, including release notes when required.
• Data Operations: Monitor and correct data input processes, import data, and develop data reporting solutions.
• Project Delivery: Work on fast-paced, quick-turnaround development projects.

Who you are:

• Education: Graduate of a computer-related course.
• Databricks: 3+ years experience with Databricks tool - Python, Spark SQL.
• Proficiency using Cloud data tools.
• 5+ years background in software development, proficient in C# , PHP.
• Framework Knowledge: Familiarity with MVC architecture and its implementation.
• Database Proficiency: Skilled in SQL Server or MySQL with experience in optimization and troubleshooting.
• Adaptability: Willingness to learn new programming languages and tools.
• Problem Solving: Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication in English, time management, and analytical abilities.
