TV Manager

Are you an engineer ready to step up?

We’re looking for a TV Manager who knows their way around broadcast infrastructure; someone who can lead a team of engineers without losing touch with the technical side of things. If you’re someone who's equally at home in a technical deep-dive as you are in a planning meeting, than this might be the role for you. You'll act as the team's technical anchor; pitching in on the hard engineering problems when it counts. The roadmap, budgeting and resource planning sit with you too, and we want someone who can manage all of that sustainably, without feeling like they have to do everything themselves.

What you’ll be doing

• Leading the team: Managing a small, tight-knit group of TV engineers while staying hands-on with the technical work yourself.
• Running the platforms: Owning both our DVB-C and OTT streaming environments day-to-day.
• Keeping the lights on: Taking responsibility for hardware maintenance, including our dish farm facilities.
• Planning ahead: Handling budgets, project timelines and resource allocation for the department.

Job requirements

• DVB-C experience: You've worked with multiplexing and stream processing platforms, have a solid grasp of edge networking and BNG gateways, and have handled Conditional Access Systems (CAS) across IPTV and DVB environments. Familiarity with IRD platforms is a plus.
• OTT experience: You understand how enterprise encoders, CDN infrastructure, and DRM fit together, and you've worked across multi-platform app delivery in some capacity.
• Real leadership experience: You know how to manage a budget, plan resources, and move projects forward. You also know how to get the best out of the people around you.
• An engineer at heart: When the team is under pressure, you roll up your sleeves and get stuck in alongside them.
• A solid technical foundation: A Bachelor’s degree in ICT, engineering or similar is a plus, but proven hands-on experience counts just as much.
• Networking knowledge: CCNA-level networking skills are a must.
• Linux competency: You’re comfortable on the command line.
• Curiosity: Broadcast and streaming move fast. You keep up because you want to, not because you have to.
