Land Registration Agency in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Junior Administartive Officer specialising in Customer Experience to join their team on a full-time basis.

MAIN JOB PURPOSE:

The main job purpose of a Junior Administrative Officer, for the Receiving Office, is to manage customers, vets, reviews and preliminary processing of any application related to the registration of property and condominiums. The position requires basic technical assessment of matters related to the Land and Condominium Registries as stipulated from time to time in the legislation and related regulations. This position will oversee the operations of the Condominium and Front Office.

 

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinates the Condominium and the Front office activities and staff members
  • Receives, vets, reviews and preliminary process all Land and Condominium Registry applications; enter any required data on the Land Registration IT system in place at the time at the Agency, including the digitizing of parcels under the supervision of a superior officer. 
  • Oversees the clerical staff in the office assigned. 
  • Inputs and upkeeps of databases kept by the respective office. 
  • Receives fees and carries the daily reconciliation of fees received by the office. 
  • Manages customers and deals with stakeholders in receiving applications and submissions. 
  • Answers queries and holds meetings as required, hearing of complaints, and communicating decisions/policies adopted by the Agency. 
  • Deals with correspondence, cases and enquiries related to the function of the Agency under the direction of management. 
  • Assists in the transposition and migration of data as necessary. 
  • Ensures that all actions and tasks undertaken follow the Agency’s policies and directives. 
  • Honours deadlines and timely delivery of objectives set by management and collaborates to ensure that the team/unit meets the required deadlines. 
  • Ensures that the workload is dealt with appropriately and any pending caseloads are dealt with efficiently and without undue delays. 
  • Participates in the development of specific strategic plans and objectives of the Agency, to table suggestions relating to the modification of objectives. 
  • Any other duties as may be required by the Executive Head of the Agency or his delegate.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Lingual Fluency:

For this role, the candidate must be fluent in both English and Maltese. Any other additional language will be considered as an asset. 

Qualifications and Experience

• Four (4) O levels including Maltese, Mathematics, English, [MQF Level 3], together with a subject that shows IT Office Application skills or any other relevant technical subject.

and

• One (1) A level [MQF Level 4] in a relevant subject

or 

• Two (2) years’ experience in Customer Experience. Experience in a role related to the technical aspect of land/property registration will be considered as an asset.

• School leaving certificate [MQF Level 1] which must include IT Office Application Skills or another relevant technical subject.

• Four (4) years’ experience in Customer Experience. Experience in a role related to the technical aspect of land/property registration will be considered as an asset.

The Land Registration Agency is a Maltese Government Agency that oversees the registration of land in both Malta and Gozo. It's function is to receive, process and vet applications with respect to land registration and also ensure that such registrations are done according to current legislation. The Agency's function supports the general public, professionals and other Government bodies that require the services of the Agency.
