Junior Compliance Officer

Our client, an international advisory firm is looking to recruit a Junior Compliance Officer to join their team. The successful candidate will be working closely with the compliance team to assist with the company's due diligence process 

Responsibilities: 

• Conducting AML and due diligence checks at on-boarding stage as well as on-going monitoring 
• Utilizing business risk detection system and raising any issues to management accordingly 
• Liaising with the General Counsel and Group Head of Compliance on suspicious activity reports and initiate investigations as necessary 
• Providing input on whether to on-board or reject a client 
• Ensuring the client's information is up to date on the system  
• Compiling and submitting quarterly central registers regarding high-risk clients 
• Participating in internal/external audit reviews and respond to any queries as necessary

• Previous local experience in a similar position
• Meticulous with an eye for detail
• Knowledge of AML legislation
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Maltese

• Candidates with a Bachelor's Degree in Law, Business, Finance, Criminology or a related field will be given preference
