Head of Yachting Registration

A highly reputable client of ours specialising in the Corporate and Financial industry, specialising in the Maritime sector, is currently looking to onboard a Head of Yachting Registration to join their team of professionals; this person will work closely with the respective Director, to ensure the quality of client services and adherence to their requirements in compliance with the relative laws

Duties:

• Manage client day-to-day operations including but not limited to banking, accounting, crew and payroll, local and foreign VAT reporting, as well as other ad hoc requests
• Assist with client internal / external compliance requirements
• Manage client day-to-day operations, as well as other ad hoc requests
• Liaising with authorities for the purposes of registration, customs importation
• Lead, mentor and inspire a team of professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows
• Keep abreast of developments in Seamen’s legislation, maritime and aviation legislation and other relevant laws to ensure that the Group complies with the respective regulations for the jurisdictions in which they operate
• Uphold the Company's values by promoting a culture of professionalism, teamwork and equality
• Assist with the accounting and debt collection of the Company, as well as accounting and filing of the Company client files, as and client relations
• Assist with the registration of vessels, and serve as the main client point of contact for all operational matters within the client portfolio, including routine and challenging client requests

• Extensive experience in the yachting industry, with a proven track record in a senior management role.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Exceptional leadership and people management skills
• At least 5 years relevant experience in an organisation active in the Maritime and Aviation sectors
• Strong knowledge of maritime regulations, standards, and industry best practices, and solid experience in sales, purchase, and registrations within the yachting sector.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Maritime Studies, Accounting or Legal, or a related field.
