Job Responsibilities and Duties
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities both locally and internationally within the maritime sector;
  • Expand sales activities and territories across the Mediterranean maritime market;
  • Support the implementation and growth of the Chandlery expansion programme;
  • Conduct market research to monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging growth opportunities;
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with shipowners, ship managers, yacht operators, shipyards, and offshore companies;
  • Manage and develop a portfolio of key client accounts, ensuring continued growth and strong commercial relationships;
  • Prepare competitive quotations and commercial proposals aligned with client requirements;
  • Negotiate commercial terms and successfully close profitable sales opportunities;
  • Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets and key performance indicators;
  • Contribute to pricing strategies in collaboration with senior management;
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with suppliers while negotiating favourable commercial agreements;
  • Support the expansion and optimisation of the product portfolio by identifying high-demand and high-margin product categories;
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure long-term retention and repeat business;
  • Conduct client visits onboard vessels, within shipyards, and at client offices as required;
  • Represent the Chandlery division at industry exhibitions, maritime conferences, and networking events;
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and manage sales pipeline forecasting;
  • Prepare sales reports and performance analysis for management review;
  • Contribute to the long-term commercial and strategic development of the division.
Experience
  • Diploma in Management, Sales, Business Administration, or a related field;
  • Additional maritime or technical qualifications will be considered an asset;
  • Proven experience in sales or business development, preferably within the maritime, shipping, or marine services sector;
  • Demonstrated experience contributing to business growth initiatives or market expansion projects will be considered advantageous;
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications;
  • Willingness to travel locally and internationally when required.
