AML & Compliance Assistant

Our client, a prestigious law firm is looking to recruit an additional AML & Compliance Assistant to join their growing team. The successful candidate is expected to act as an intermediary between the Corporate and the Compliance Department by liaising with lawyers and advisors regarding AML checks as necessary

Responsibilities:

• conducting AML and KYC checks on new clients at on-boarding stage

• uploading any changes and ensuring the client profile is up to date on the company's portal 

• obtaining the letter of engagement and job form

• collating and verifying the standard costumer due diligence documents are making sure they are in line with the regulations

• performing the required searches and escalating where required

• following up on any AML or corporate measures suggested by Compliance and Corporate team

• A minimum of 1-2 years of local experience in a similar role within financial services
• A self-starter who is able to work independently
• Able to effectively communicate with other departments internally
• Fluency is written and spoken English

• ICA,ACAMS or a qualification in a related field will be considered an asset
