We are looking to hire a Compliance Officer and Finance Assistant on a full-time basis to form part of the Finance team. The individual will be responsible for the day-to-day due diligence and compliance, book-keeping, and invoicing procedures as well as assisting with the management of operator accounts.

Location: Ta’Xbiex, Malta
Start of employment: Immediately

YOUR TASKS ARE

• Inputting and reviewing KYC and due diligence documents and following up with the team for relevant vetting

• Maintaining up to date information on the Company's systems and databases

• Issuing regular compliance reports as instructed by management

• Co-ordinating with third parties and following up on changes within corporate entities, changes within the corporate structure, changes in directors, key persons, registered / operating addresses, and other company statutory changes

• Contributing to the development and maintenance processes and policies to achieve the objectives of the Department and in line with the changing requirements

• Assisting with the preparation of regular compliance procedures and reporting as instructed by management

• Posting of invoices and journal entries to appropriate accounts and projects

• Performing reconciliations

• Assisting in financial audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries

• Assisting in the preparation of management accounts and supporting documentation

• Carrying out tasks as instructed by the Head of Finance

• Retrieving revenue data from clients’ automated systems on a monthly basis, and issuing of invoices to the clients for services rendered

• Operator account management (opening up new accounts, transferring accounts, and keeping accounts updated) as well as extracting links from said accounts)

• Providing other related accounting and administrative assistance to the Finance Department

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Qualifications in Accounts at A Level standard

• Experience with Microsoft Office applications, especially MS Excel

• Understanding of key accounting concepts

• Strong communication and organisational skills

• Ability to work on own initiative to meet deadlines

• Be an effective team player

• Be able to complete assigned tasks efficiently and within stipulated time frames

• Applicants must have at least 1 year experience in a compliance role and an accounting environment.
