We are looking for a Compliance Executive to join our team and assist in overseeing the day-to-day compliance activity within the company. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience of working within the compliance field and have a strong understanding of the payments and finance sector. A team player with strong analytical and communication skills.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist in conducting compliance monitoring reviews as directed, in line with the Compliance Monitoring Programme, to provide assurance to the Board of Directors and support improvements in regulatory compliance
  • Extract and compile data for the preparation of compliance reports
  • Assisting the Head of Compliance to supervise and control the day-to-day activity of the Company to ensure all functions comply with applicable regulatory and compliance obligations
  • Ensuring all employees are up to date with the latest compliance laws and regulations by sharing relevant information to the appropriate stakeholder/s
  • Any admin task as required to assist the smooth running of the Compliance Unit
  • Assisting in the review of policies and procedures of the various units whilst assisting in drafting & reviewing of policies and procedures for the compliance function
  • Perform research on compliance issues as they arise from internal and external inquiries and document research
  • A keen and genuine interest to keep up to date with evolving regulations and engaging in continuous learning and development regarding changes in rules and regulations that would require to be deployed
  • Any other duty that is ancillary to the role.

Requirements

Education & Experience :

  • Post Secondary or Tertiary Level of Education in related fields of finance
  • A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a compliance, regulatory, or audit role within the financial services industry
  • Knowledge of MFSA regulations and Maltese financial services legislation.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Proficient in drafting clear, concise, and well-structured reports
  • Diligent, organized, self-motivated and result-driven whilst being able to use their own initiative with the ability to work independently
  • Enthusiasm, commitment and willingness to learn for professional development
  • Team player, with an ability to multitask whilst attention to detail and adherence to deadlines are given utmost priority
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Meticulous and attention to detail is a must
  • Well versed in MS Office Suite (including, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
